A time to plant and a time to uproot
When I was a kid, my grade school teacher had my class plant a couple of bean seeds in a Styrofoam cup. We put our names on the cup and placed them on the window sill in the classroom. After the beans began to sprout, we were instructed to plant them in a garden at home. So, with my dad’s help, my baby bean plants were in our garden. I checked on their progress daily. I remember being so excited the day I harvested the first four beans. So excited, I took a picture of them. However, I do not recall eating them.
In the fall, I helped my dad uproot our garden looking forward to the next year when we would plant again.
