Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:24

Vulnerable

Her long flowing hair was her beauty,
but she kept it tightly bound in a bun
upon her head.

Her nurturing heart was her beauty,
but she kept it beating for
her own sustainability.

Vulnerable is she
with her hair down and
her heart worn on her sleeve.

1 Peter 3:3-4(NIV)
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

    • Aunt Melanie, this poem is about sharing yourself and the vulnerability felt when you let it all hang out. Many people are gifted, but something in life has knocked them down and make it difficult to be themselves. There is fear coming from somewhere and it may just be easier for that person to withdraw.
